Although semolina by itself is quite protein-rich, El Ricco adds a high ratio of pea flour to the semolina in its High Protein Pasta in order to increase the  protein content & to make it a delicious vegetarian substitute to meat.

Kamut Spaghetti:

This new organic pasta features Kamut, an ancient unhybridized grain that originated in the Mediterranean area thousands of years ago. It has a sweet, nut-like flavor and a higher nutritional value than any other wheat. Kamut is a complex carbohydrate that contains over 40 percent more protein than wheat.

Spelt Spaghetti:

El Ricco's organic Spelt Pasta is made with an ancient grain that contains more high-quality protein, fats, and crude fiber than wheat. Spelt also has 60 percent more amino acids and a higher mineral content. Both Kamut and Spelt have been found acceptable to many people who suffer from an intolerance to wheat.

Dulse Noodles:

Traditionally harvested in the Bay of Fundy, dulse is an iridescent marine plant containing over 20 minerals and a broad spectrum of vitamins -- including the crucial B 12 -- and nearly 2 dozen amino acids. In addition to being a low calorie food, Dulse is as natural a body regulator as bran.
